re-mindful 2011 World Tour!
We are going on tour! Our “2011 World Tour” is gonna be great! We are not covering a lot of the world but we are covering some very cool events in some very cool places:

Peace Prayer Day – Espanola, NM —- June 18th
Taos Solar Music Festival (tenative) – Taos, NM —- June 22nd
Mountain Pose Yoga Festival – Copper Mt, CO —- July 7-10
Telluride Yoga Festival – Telluride, CO —– July 14-17

If you will be at any of these events ….. stop by our booth! Mention this email for a free hug! And If you have suggestions for more venues (in the Southwest) we would love to hear from you. Heck, we would love to hear from you anyway.

re-mindful – launch date changes

As result of our deciding to go on kickstarter, we have changed our launch date. We apologize whole-heartedly to those of you who were counting down the days to May 15th but we feel confident that the app will be greatly improved by having the extra time. And we will have super cool, organic cotton, whimsically designed, t-shirt to share as well. We launch on kickstarter on June 1st …. yay!!! And the app will be available in iTunes and the Android store late July or early August. Thanks in advance for your understanding.

Some other dates that have changed:

our presentation at The Santa Fe Complex – was May 18th, now June (date TBD)
launch party at 2nd St Brewery on the Railyard – was May 18th, now late July or early August (we will definitely let you know!)

re-mindful on kickstarter!!!

re-mindful on kickstarter!
We got accepted in kickstarter.com! Sanjiv and I (and the rest of the re-mindful creative team) were working hard to get the app to you by May 15th when we heard about kickstarter.com. We knew right off that if they would have us, it was for us. For those who do not know …. kickstarter.com is a crowd funding site. That is to say, it’s a venue for people to display ideas for projects and for fans to participate in the creation of these projects.

What this means for the app is that we get to add lots of cool features that we thought would have to wait for version 2.0. It also means that the app will take longer to make but as it turns out, our original time estimates may have been a touch optimistic …. it’s turned out to be a lot of work to bring re-mindful from spark of inspiration to spark of silicon.

So far we have a couple of different tag lines for re-mindful:

“share your smile!”
“a random reminder to smile!”
“pause your busy day”
“more mindful moments”

I think in the long run we will use all of these in one way or another ….. anyone have a preference?

re-mindful Genesis

I have been self employed in one way or another for most of my working life. I have had moderate success with my the ventures. The latest being Home Sweet Home, a Santa Fe based real estate business that took a huge hit these last few years along with the entire real estate industry. So …. a time for new beginnings!

The original idea for RAOK and re-mindful came all at once …. on the way home from a birthday party last Oct. I spent the better part of 2010 researching new directions. I looked at everything from a recycling consulting to writing yoga manuals (I may still do that one). When the idea of the app came to me it was too compelling for me to pass up. I almost didn’t have a choice …. I kind of had to start this project.
